Have you watched WCET's video coverage of the Georgetown Township Candidate Forum
(put on by the Grandville Jenison Chamber of Commerce on July 13) yet?
I hope that all members of our amazing community are taking the next few days to seek out information on township issues and the candidates running for Township Supervisor and the four Trustee seats in the Republican primary.
Next week Tuesday, August 2, is the day to cast your vote...and I hope you will consider voting for me!
The Candidate Forum put on by the Grandville Jenison Chamber of Commerce is a great resource for getting to know the candidates. The complete forum video is available at this link (click here). In an effort to help you, the voters, specifically get to know me as a candidate, though, I am including quick video clips of my contributions to this forum below.
Should you have any questions about my qualifications for the position of Township Trustee or about my view on local issues, please don't hesitate to ask in the comments section below or send me an email at [email protected].
Please Note: If you are viewing this blog post from a mobile device, the embedded videos below may fail to load. If this happens, the video clips are available as individual links by clicking here.
Thank you!
Introduction Statement (90 seconds):
First Question:
There has been a fair amount of discussion regarding township purchases of various properties in recent years, including vacant commercial buildings. If you are elected or reelected to the Board, under what circumstances would you vote in favor of purchasing additional properties in the future?
Second Question:
If you are elected to the Board, what would be your short-term goals for Georgetown Township and why? And secondly, what is your long-term vision for the township and why?
Third Question:
[Each candidate was asked a different question based on information about themselves, their views on local issues,
or their candidacy that they had provided to the Chamber prior to this forum or mentioned in their video interview.
The question I was asked immediately precedes my answer in the video below.]
